Ruined.

I never understood
the way your head works.
I was sure that you wanted me
gone, wanted this "love"
to become lost. But somehow,
you're here again.

Right before my eyes
and I've never been more
damaged.

You left my heart outside
in the cold harsh rain...
you watched it wither and die--

And now you want me to
accept you again. With what?
The heart you forgot to love,
the soul you left torn, this
body that is numb?

You don't get to decide
how this works. You don't get
to leave and come back
and expect my scars to
return to perfection again.

Face it--

I am ruined and I have you to thank.

    WOW...just WOW

    Loved the way you were bang on with your feelings. Most of the crises occur due to unstable mind but here despite of being in pain...you know what you want..this shows your strength. Great piece. Nicely released.

    I know this is written and categorizes as sad, however I found strength in this piece. You stuck up for yourself! That's awesome!..you finally had enough and that moment that your able to do that is awesome

    The stanza about your heart and body. LOVED IT!!...it was so in your face/ look what you've done type thing. That was amazing. I enjoyed this

    I am fascinated by the tone and the flow of this poem. I can truly feel the frustration and still the author is straightforward with how he/she feels. The emotions is well expressed. I couldn't help but feel in the shoes of the author when I was reading this piece, it just pulled me in. Excellent.
