Grief

I lie awake in my bed
thinking about something I should have said.
I dream of a thing that I can no longer attain
As I cry hard against the pouring rain.

It feels like being lost nowhere.
Left alone and leading somewhere.
All you can do is shed a tear
for you can no longer bear.

My world seemed perfect once.
But believing so made me a dunce.
I feel numb, my world seems so damn.
In this life's test I can no longer attest.

    I love the theme and atmosphere of this piece. The emotion is there but the rhymes seemed too forced, to be honest.. I know the feeling of pain of losing someone, it's definitely different from physical pain. No one can see it, but deep inside you know it's there. Great piece, thoroughly enjoyed reading it :)
