Fire

by Biancas Veil   May 2, 2012

The fire has taken what life I have built
I am given a choice but I am too sick with guilt

I should have noticed something wrong
it seams as if I'm singing the same song

And now the hundreds that this flame has taken
not their lives but their livelihood forsaken

I blame myself for this case
But i guess that i have grown fond this place

It fills me with dread but I bet the others feel the same as I have said.

Very meaningful piece. I have many lessons to learned from this poem. I love the metaphor of fire and the way you worded every line. I really enjoy this piece...a lot. And thank you for sharing this. Keep writing more:))

There is something else that is deeper behind these lines I feel. You use fire as a destruction to many things and lives; at the same time it can be seen as a person who has come into many lives and destroyed them knowingly or unknowingly..well at least that is what I got from this write...take care.
