Inferno

by Biancas Veil   Oct 10, 2012

Blinding light sucks you in
what is the top penalty for sin?
beauty that's used to mesmerize
will you come out of this alive?

floating in a fragmented dream
which way will your loyalties lean?
reality lost fiction takes hold
bonded, to another your body sold?

illusions shattered yourself you rediscover
one must be erased, your bond mate or your lover?
once dead is always dead so choose wisely
why choose your bonded who was yours exclusively?

so you'll skip limbo and slip into lust
didn't you do more than adultery and betray trust?
gluttony, greed, anger, heresy, violence, fraud
finally treachery, now you'll suffer at the tip of my sword.

I'd be really curious to know where you fit in the picture (the jilted, the cheater,or third party interestedly or dis-interestedly making havoc with anothers relationship.it bears completely on my feeling of the poem.however, being so nicely written i'm ready to either give you a hug,a nasty look,or tell you to get your own damn man. lol

I like this. So dark in its nature as if death it's self is issuing the punishment but living in hell for sins to others. Truly amazing!
