Childhood

Back to the world of 90's...
When my days were not digitalized,
And I knew blackberry as just another fruit;
Fascinated by rainbows, rather than robots!

The days when I was contented,
With my small remote control car;
Innocent enough to believe,
That the world is fair and selfless!

A ride in the bicycle was all that I wanted;
A thought that sun and moon are following me;
All the cats and rats were Toms and Jerrys,
Chasing butterflies and flying paper planes, the favorite pastime!

Hanging around the football ground,
Fighting with the next street guys;
Praying for a holiday during heavy rains;
Pencil boxes as birthday gifts, sugar candies were birthday treats!

A small quarrel with my brother,
And a consequent advice from my mother;
Waiting for an autograph from my dad (obviously, in my report card...);
Longing for a lollipop, a lullaby from my grandma!

What more can make a childhood interesting?
(Now, the reality unfolds!)
Someone said it right: Change never changes;
Yes, those days are gone!
But not the child in me!
