Stains of Yesterday

by Cassie Cain   Mar 27, 2013

I can hear your heart beat slowly, as you lay there with the silence that kills us both.

As I quickly take a glance at you and hide what we both know is true and try hard to hold back from you, I breathe in and out heavily.

The thoughts are running through my mind, the stuff we hide just plays aside, the hurt we carry has been defined.

Nothing can cure this pain, only the kisses can sweep it away, only the smile you no longer have can keep my heart beating as fast.
