Painted Love

by Robert   Apr 21, 2013

I walk under the sun, and spread out my arms
Try to fly in the wind and soar with my heart
The horizon lights up, and burns the sky
With deep colors of orange, and a tint of red behind

The crashing of waves and receding tide
Shells in the sand, and memorable times
Were all so innumerable I couldn't help but cry
For life just moves on, and days go by

Left in thought I couldn't help but smile
For the woman I love is worth every trial
Some people are forsaken, and others forgotten
But you my love are my life, my oxygen

Just as this sunset burn's up the sky
I hope that our bonds never break, never come untied
For with these deep colors of orange, and a tint of red behind
Dye my eyes with warmth as I have you at my side

This poem is so beautifully expressed.... and the images just add to the warmth and love felt in this exquisite write. I so loved the opening lines and the feeling it gave,, ( it was almost like I was there.) The radiance from this poem is like the love expressed in it... for that special someone.
