There comes a time
to decide where to go.
To follow your dreams
or go with the flow.

For some, this choice is easy
because they like to work hard.
They'll swim against the current
to follow their heart.

For many more, it's challenging
to decide what they should do.
They could fail or be judged
unless they do as others do.

Not everyone will succeed
no matter how hard they try.
But if it is truly what you desire,
you should shoot for the sky.

The road ahead of you
is long and treacherous.
No one said it would be easy.
But rest assured, its worth it.

This was an assignment in AVID, which is the college prep program I'm in. We read The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost and we were supposed to write a poem based on that.

    Oh I've read the road not taken and it's one of my favorite's and truthfully you have done well.

    I'm actually a little inspired by your poem. I'm right now in a phase where I have to decide which path to choose. Two roads diverged in a wood...I have to but choose only one of them... And reading this poem of yours it inspired me that no matter what it's okay.... Life and choices were not meant to be easy.....

    Your last two lines inspired me the most.... No one said it would be easy..... Yes absolutely choosing a path is not at all easy...

    I'm actually kinda in a phase where I know my dreams but I still don't know them..... So reading your poem is going to help me figure it out in time maybe.. Hopefully..

    Well I'll be coming back again and Austin to read this poem as it is helping me stay focused reminding me that I have dreams to achieve paths to choose wisely..... Your poem is truly inspirational ....
