River of Love

My love for you is like a river...
I once loved you but could never love you again
Because the feelings I had for you
Have passed and will never pass again...

Closing my eyes, you would seem so close
A memorable dream which made me feel whole
But as I open my eyes, a tear rolls down my cheek
Because the moment I look back, you'd be a fleeting dream.

And as always would only be broken promises.
