Inch by inch

We measure life by seconds, not heart beats. We count time with money, not laughs. We say we want better, when we just want more. We want more, instead of enjoying what we already have. We bare worship to false prophets because they wear name brands. Music is corporate greed, not self expression. Money and girls. Not matters of the heart. Sex sells, our youth buys. Teen mom on the t.v guide. We take hand outs, instead of pride in hard work. Our ancestors rolling in their grave. We're not racist but we follow sterotypes. We say we're brave, yet we're cowards. Turn yer t.v off and open yer heart. Give rather than take. Bathe in someones smile. Catch a strangers tear, hold a door. Don't rush through red lights. Mourn those you lost but remember...Remember to count time with moments not dollars, measure life with heart beats not seconds, want better not more, love what you have not what you want. Listen to the rain, not autotune.. bare worship in nothing but those whom love you.
