This poem is dead on we do i loved the frist stanza the poem as whole was really good but loved frist part we do lose ourself's sometimes we just need to take a breath wonderful p&l midnight sky

This one spoke to me a lot. You wrote this from your heart and I can tell. I really loved the title because poetry is always supposed to be raw. I personally don't love metaphors because they muck up a poem. This is a great message. I liked the character you used. It's like they are narrating their own life and talks about the poetry from their own soul. Poetry is all about emotion and heart. When we become sad or angry writing is a great tool or outlit to cope with. This is a simple poem but the deeper meaning is so well written. Beautiful saffie!

So true! Sometimes I think we're all guilty of getting too wrapped up in the technicalities of a poem, but often it's the truly heartfelt pieces which shine through and stand out.

Poetry is a great outlet and sometimes poets just need to pour out their feelings, fresh and raw and beautiful.

I agree. Poetry is many things but nothing if not true to ourselves. When we write, we leave a fragment of ourselves and every poem is another window to who we are. Sometimes we hide and sometimes we attempt to change but sometimes we are just ourselves and that is when our poetry becomes us. xx

I like the honesty behind this its very true

I adore Baby Rainbow's simplistic angle she has taken here with this piece. It's an inspirational delight. She focuses on the real and true meaning of writing and how the writing can get twisted within creative and art, in the end.. Hiding the true emotions within the message the writer is trying to express.
It is very difficult at times for a writer to map out raw feelings and emotions within a poem or any form of writing and Baby Rainbow explains this from start to finish!
