Tonight the Spirit

Tonight the Spirit whispered, "This is the year for you.

I have seen the pain, the hurt, and all that you've been thru.

I've seen the tears you've cried, and heard the prayers that got you thru."

Tonight the Spirit whispered, "This is the year for you."

Tonight the Spirit called out, "Your prayers are answered in His name.

And the things He asks you to do for Him will not bring you any fame

They may even bring you suffering, but never any shame."

For He alone is worthy, He alone Divine.

He spreads a luscious table and has invited you to dine."
