A cause for change.

by Poet on the Piano   Jul 4, 2014

Change- in combat with morals,
not always designed to win,
but sometimes created in order
to develop our purpose,
understand why our passions
have shifted
in tiny years.

Change subsists in horizons,
when we claim our circumstance
is inalterable...

but our souls are not cycles,
and even though we ascend to hope
and fall through its purity,
change can travel through our veins
and we can pedal on pavement
with eyes set ahead,
choosing to respond
to a world numb to the

unexplored.

I've been meaning to write you a good comment, I haven't find time and when I do I'm hit with commenters block. So I'll just stop by to say that changes aren't always bad. That's some topic for conversation, when is it important to make a change? And what I gathered from your poem is that if there is a cause, then a change is for the best.

If something is not working, we have to continue pedaling through the unexplored and explore different alternatives and see which one is for the best.

I like that last stanza the most.
