The Darkness

by Kalli Woody   Apr 24, 2015

The Darkness sheds no light
We know no day
Our humble abode
Crumbles from decay
Our past so dark
No hope laid there
All it contained
Was hurt and despair
Desperate as children
We once wanted love
But with none to get
We pleaded the Above
But our pleas went unheard
Above's shoulder turned right
The finality of darkness
With no hope of light
Tears being shed
Mourning all around
Darkness so real
It flows from the ground
With our only hope gone
The darkness has won
Our fate has been sealed
Its deed done
So many bodies
Lying around
They fill the houses
They litter the ground
All this has occurred
Since you turned your head
Look at this disaster
Look at how many's dead
For you to be
As high as you are
Why not shed light
Darkness has gone too far
We look up at night
Looking for a star
To wish for light
To come where we are
