Oh Andrea, that's such lovely comments. She was a challenge to write about, but fulfilling bliss :)

Even though this is a little lengthy, I loved the movement and the voice and the way it didn't feel long at all. I enjoyed the style and way you kept up a solid rhythm and upbeat momentum. Great word choice and interesting uses of syntax every now and then.

      Thank you BlueJay
Your comments mean a lot. And yes I added a little, after posting. And thought I wonder if too long; )

Well done on the win, Michael - a super write.
As for the length, I have to disagree with Bluejay; some of the greatest poems ever written were a damn site lengthier than this. I think it adds a certain ...gravitas to the piece!

I found this poem captivating, the poet took me on a wonderful titillating journey full of spice and evocative imagery, excuse the puns. Exquisite word choice adds to the seduction of this lovely piece. A mature well written poem that lifts off the page of its own accord. I admit I would rather the words have the impact as opposed to page layout, but that seems to becoming more favoured these days. Not sure how the page layout translates when you read it out loud ? Yet that’s a very personal thing I guess. But I have to say very LOUDLY "that can not detract in any way from such a great poem!"
    A very warm congrats.
