    A very intriguing piece. It had a real sense of maturity to it. A sense of character. Someone that has experience life, and has a good sense of who they are. The Last line of the second stanza especially was powerful yet simple. Aided of course by the entire stanza before it, but it was a wonderful climax. Topping, you might say.

    Nice Analogy.
    It connects you from the very first line of the poem and from there with every stanza, it's just got better and better. And what an ending.
    I am, after all
    A recipe-
    Made better
    every now and then.

    In the third stanza you mentioned lessons are learned and those lessons helped you to make yourself a better person.
