Father and the rebel.

by A.J.P.   Nov 11, 2017

Rebel: I don't know how much more I can stand.

Father: I'll give you love, I'll lend you a hand.

Rebel: my shame runs deep.

Father: everything in you I have already seen.

Rebel: but the demons have won and I am lost.

Father: your choices don't define you, I'll save you no matter the cost.

Rebel: I'm always on the run, this pain is far from mild.

Father: you no longer have to run for you are my child.

Rebel: So you'll love me no matter where I've been?

Father: I'll bring you in, your sin is mine to mend.

The rebel is finally pleased, as he gets down on his knees. it's a long path to walk, his past behind him, in the woods it'll stalk. Waiting for the day, the rebel might slip. But even when the rebel goes astray, this father will always love him, every single day. The father knows his sons heart is on fire, the rebel he lives with all new desire. The rebel now knows there is no other, this life that he's chose is the way to recover. Rebel where will you go, you'll reap what you sew.
