Lifeline

Holding on for dear life
Waiting for the storm to pass
Wondering about what's coming next
Feeling as fragile as glass

Needing just one solution
But not knowing where to turn
Trying to accept the harsh fallout
Of the lesson I must learn

But then you swoop in to save me
And it's just in the nick of time
You have concocted a cunning plan
Thrown me an amazing lifeline

Now the weight is lifted off me
As you drag me safely to shore
Thanks to you I'll get through this
My future's now much more secure

I don't know how to truly thank you
For stepping up in my hour of need
You have gone way above and beyond
You're really very special indeed.
