Friendship

by CJ Maleney   Jul 12, 2018

When everything around you crumbles
When all you can see is dust
When your eyes and ears are filled with it
When in yourself you have no trust

When you think you're alone and desolate
When you think that no one hears
Trust me you are wrong in this
They've been listening for years

When you feel that you are all alone
And that no one understands
Look a little closer my friend
For there are those who have and can

When your shoulders and mind are weary
When you feel that you can't mend
There's always one to help with that burden

And that's what you call a friend

    Craig,

Your poems always rhyme so well, and stories you tell really have depth about them and this one no exception. A nice reflection of a friendship
    Well done fella :)

I really like this. They say you know who your friends are when you have nothing to offer and still they care. This poem is inspirational and should be highlighted. I've just used up my last nomination, so hopefully someone will spot this one.

    Take care.

How very true, I've hit rock bottom and admittedly done some dumb things in the past. So called friends take sides and twitter.

True friends are always there for you and always will be.

      Regards

      Craig
