Seconds from Harm

by Paul Hirst   Jul 17, 2018

The pale dawn illuminates your face
Cold and uncaring
Your hands restless in motion
I hate you so much at this time of day hate your utter devotion
Your endless quest to make me want to weep my eyes red from lack of sleep
I really could do you harm I hate my bloody alarm
