A Sad Christmas Season

by paulina.♥   Mar 29, 2005

In the bitter cold month of December.
Things happened that I will always remember.
My parents did not listen to what I said.
Instead they acted as if I was dead.
My pleas, my comments, they were ignored.
With me, my parents seemed to be getting bored.

A new comforter for my bed?
"There is something wrong with your head."
Maybe a new light switch for my room?
"You won't be getting that anytime soon."
Getting me room painted, that's what I want, can't you see?
"You can't fit that under our tree."
Can I possibly get a water bed?
"Have you not been listening to anything I said?!"

I'm sorry for wanting a gift during a holiday.
But you never listen to anything I say.
