If You Decide to Leave

I just keep thinking about
All the times you could have gone
Left this life, left me here
Hopeless and alone

I call you just to hear you breathe
Just to make sure you're here
I have nightmares that you die
And I have to live in fear

That one day you WILL cross that line
And take your own breath away
That no one will be there to stop you
To take away the pain

You say that you would call me
If you ever decided to die
But you'd probably just leave
So you wouldn't have to tell me goodbye

I can't emphasize in words
How devastated I would be
If you decided to go
And decided you wouldn't take me

Please don't ever go
I need you by my side
You are my one, my only
Over my life you preside

How I wish that I
Could hold you oh so close
Touch away all the scars
And tell you I loved you the most

It's like you're drowning, right in front of me
And I'm reaching out, but you are blind
I want to stop you from sinking
Please don't end your time

I just don't know what I would do
If you left not knowing how I felt
After all the things we've been through
After the problems we have dealt

You are my rock
Without you I would fall
Stay here with me always
You are my all

If you do decide to leave
Which I hope you don't, I pray
Please just take me with you
I wouldn't want to stay

I love you so much
No words can say
How relieved I am to have you
Alive and breathing today.
