Remember When

Do you remember when all that mattered was if your best friend could come over, if you got ice cream for dessert? All you wanted to do was go trick-or-treating on Halloween, on an egg hunt on Easter, and open presents on Christmas. All that mattered was braiding each other's hair, bike rides, getting a new puppy, fishing at the lake. Do you remember when everyone was alive and happy? When you didn't have a car in the world? When everyday the sun was shining and you were always having fun. Remember when your only responsibility was to make your bed and brush your teeth? Do you remember those days?
