Non-Prayer Sleep

by Michael   Jul 18, 2005

I soon wake up in the late of the night,
thinking of the nightmare of horror and fright.

Though I can see dimly while body laying on the bed,
the last thing I remember was what the whispers said.

The nightmare was of cannibals, demons and fire,
I was sinking lower from the light instead of floating higher.

There were people, of teens ,adults, and I tried to look back,
for they were wearing evil grins, and wore Victorian-Gothic clothes of black.

They grabbed me and tugged me in every direction,
As they stripped me and from my protection.

They laid me on a table chaining me there,
when I felt pain and then a familiar smell in the air.

I felt a liquid, coming down like a flash flood,
then I noticed...it was my blood.

They started to bite and even scratch,
they then went insane and got the blood by the burning of a match.

The pain I endured was worse than ever,
but the worse I dreamed was that this pain will go on forever.

As the tools dived harder and sinking,
they stopped but bit me, they were drinking!

They were like vampires but never stopped,
making sure that blood would’t be dropped.

They then said, “Just one more thing,”
For I feared much more terror it would bring.

They soon got a needle and some black thread,
“ We will see you over and over till your dead.”

They took my eyelid and then the needle went under,
“Whatever would they mean,” as I began to painfully wonder.

The needle went through the other and then back,
though now my right eye-sight is what I lacked.

The same processes began to repeat to the other eye,
I thought I would now have no sight and wave my life good-bye.

From what I guess they took a dagger and sliced the skin on my chest,
though I was chained and defenseless, I couldn’t protest.

After a couple more slashes they were now done,
I soon felt the heat and the light of the sun.

This is how this nightmare had happened but more was to come,
for when I saw what I happened, I went completely numb.

I tried to stand up, but the pain soon came back
cause I saw all the scratches, burns and bruises, just like the attack.

For pain is what I just saw,
But as I pulled my shirt off, it said, “Our defenseless blood pet, forever and after all...”

It was the scratches they did while they sealed my vision away,
for now I looked further down, my future would become dark and gray.

It also read, “For your sins, it left a mark,
We will come for you again, whenever the sky goes dark.”

I did a lot of wrong, now I’m in it deep,
this is what happens when you don’t pray for forgiveness before you sleep...
