Your nightmare

by ~*^*~ longing to belong ~*^*~   Oct 4, 2005

You held onto my heart,
Like a snake does with prey,
Sank your venom in my blood,
Decided it was time to play,

Twisting and turning,
Incredibly infuriating,
Testing and teasing,
So damn frustrating,

Hypocritical thoughts,
Contradictory plans,
You are my Prospero,
I feel like Caliban,

Led me round in circles,
With the odd isosceles triangle,
But now I put my shield up,
Can you cope with your own betrayal?

There must be a weak link,
In your chain mail,
You must have an Achilles heel,
Somewhere you are frail,

They say revenge,
Is a dish best served cold,
But for you I say,
The rules do not hold,

The fires of hell burn bright,
As you seek my love again,
You will get what you deserve,
Only I know that is pain.

Everything you put me through,
Now will not compare,
Where once I was your angel,
Now I’m your nightmare

Great poem, it flows well and the content it brilliant.

might want to have a look at the last line though,. it has one of those "Iâ??m" things in it
