From A Distance

by Charles Wilson   Dec 18, 2005

As I stare at you from a distance, I gaze upon your beauty.
I can’t release my eyes from your precious face.
I want to truthfully tell you how I feel about you, but as I think what to say to you, everything seems to come to nothing.
It’s too complicated to write it down, as I write, all the words seem to flow into only three single words.
I love you.
I’ve filled up so many pages, I’ve been writing for hours.
I wrote page after page, word after word, they never stop.
My heart has a waterfall of companion flowing into every river in the world.
Overflowing the oceans, taking over land, slowly covering the Earth.
Only enough land for you and me to stand on,hoping that you will let me hold you tight in my arms.
Protecting you from anything that could come to your harm.
Never to have the pain of loneliness to reach your mind again.
I hope the opening I have created for you, never closes.
Also that you will let me into your heart.
