I cannot see past your eyes

by Martyna   Dec 30, 2005

Nothing but questions
fill my mind when your face does.

I've read countless people
accurately, but you
seem to be a different story.

What truth is cloaked behind your stare?
Camouflaged pity?
Clouded intimacy?
Concealed intentions?
Forgive me, but I cannot tell.

We have been friends for years, but
have we ever really been friends?
I'm sick of your apathy.

Blindly,
you call this flawless.
I can't believe you.

Simply haunting. This was one I had to read over many times.
