Mother

by Martyna   Oct 20, 2008

Silently, your face tells me of
all the trials that await me.
Your skin so wrinkled,
your deteriorating bone structure,
still vast in it's beauty.

Your eyes, they emanate
a rare love that I can recall from
all those times you kindled my cries.
But now they are masked in pain and I
need to brush it away.
This pain that I caused indirectly
because you worked every single day through night to
make a better life for me
and Ive wasted it.

I want so desperately to
lift this weight from your body,
so desperately to
give you the long overdue peace you deserve.

You wanted me to believe
and blamed yourself when I didnt, but mother,
my love for you is the purest faith Ive ever seen.
