Emptiness

by lisa marie   Jan 24, 2006

And she lies awake
nervous and sick
the slow movement of the trees
and the shadows
casting from the moon
cradles her face

and she whispers
into the night
together with the pain
that seeps through her skin
cold air blows
her hollow body away

and she feels,
what we feel
almost dead
on a living sphere
