Depression

I'm crying inside
and nobody knows it but me..
My tears fall like rain drops,
deep into the sea.

Cry me a river,
cry me a sea,
No one's listening,
not even me.

You bleed to know you are alive,
but when you cut yourself,
you're eyes spread wide.

There's nothing different,
it's just another scar.
It takes guts to do it,
eternal pain,
if you too, are insane.

Don't scream,
let the moment be serene.
Hate the blood,
hate the pain,
hate the reasons,
hate the mistakes..

Today is the start of history,
today is the renewing of you.
Today the sky will be serene,
and today, you must be too.

Let the clouds roll pass your mind,
cover your thoughts and cover your eyes.
Let them fill your heart and soul,
take in this new, and huge world.

They aren't here and you're not locked away,
you're free at last, you're free today.
Take the moment and spread your wings,
life is enjoyable if you make it what it seems.

Depression is nothing but an image on the wall.
It eats at your soul and tries to make you fall.
Don't let it take you,
don't be like me.

If you saw my past,
you'd be afraid to see me.
I've been locked away,
I've cut myself a thousand times,
I've fainted, I've passed out,
and I've died inside.

Nothing is different,
now with my son,
together we can start over,
together we are one.

Don't fear depression,
it will fear you.
If you grab it by the neck
and break it in two.

Look to the bright side,
I don't want you to cry,
everything is alright,
look away from your fears.
Wipe away your tears.

Truly great poetry is written from the heart.
It rewards your soul,
and gives you a new start.
When you write you feel better,
And you're not so much broken apart.

Pieces can scatter to the floor,
pick them up and make some more.
A paper thrown to the ground
Shouldn't scare you,
shouldn't make you frown.

Scream if you must and cry if you will,
it all depends on what you feel.
Depression is nothing,
depression is fear,
Don't let it get inside of you,
don't let it get passed tears.

I'm telling you the best I can..
Don't hate me,
don't be mad.

Every thing's alright,
close your eyes and when you go to sleep tonight,
think about your mistakes,
and then wonder off into your dreams.

If a nightmare comes,
it's depression knocking at your door.
Scare it away and it will be no more.
You're okay,
it's a new you.

Live your life and start over..
Brand new..
