Reach

by •§ аηgÑ”l §•   Mar 27, 2006

I reach out for your tear stained face..
But everything goes black and you fade away..
Children are singing and dancing in fields..
Soldiers are standing there, sword and shield.

Stepping forward onto paths of gold.
Ivory and silver, some colors old.
Trees and grass, flowers and buds,
petals and all blowing in the dust.

I reach out for a fake reflection..
But everything goes black and it all fades away..
Stars are dancing against the moonlight..
Creatures of all sorts are filled with delight.

I step backward into a hollow tree,
and turn around, but there's nothing to see.
Crimson eyes glare at me as if they've always known..
I don't see anything but a tattered, black rose.

I reach out for the precious thorns,
but everthing goes black and it all fades away..
I wake up and it's already day.
Night is gone and the sun is up...

Leave reality... Embrace Fantasy..
