Don't judge beauty

by libby   Apr 5, 2006

A deer-like doe-eyed girl
peered out at me from under
a pale lamp.
She's a dancer, but she
can dance without moving.
She sways thinly over
and beneath
and around.
I feel big and brutish near her.
She breathes the lacy femininity
that shys from my hide.
Could I call her
beautiful? Would you
not judge me?
No matter, truth is
truth and I know
who I am, so
this long slender deer-girl
is beautiful.
