Paper Tears

by Ashleigh Skye   Apr 22, 2006

Broken lines,
and scattered thoughts,
missing words,
my emotions in knots.

This pen's ink is splattered,
across the page,
my sweat and blood,
my tears and rage.

Creases of pain,
holes from my fear,
but the solid colour,
makes my true emotions unclear.

And when the emotion dries up,
when there's no heart behind the song,
the paper becomes crumpled,
in the garbage where it belongs.

You have such an amazing way with words. I am loving the last stanza, so unusual but still so effective at conveying your emotions.
