Silent Kisses

by Elizabeth   Aug 2, 2006

Her eyes were blury from the tears
She silently kept watch of her largest fears
From the sidelines
Whenever he needed her, she\'d be there
He swore, as friends, he\'d always care
Who was truly blind?
She would pick him up when he would fall
With her, he could have it all
Yet he chose others
Though she gave him good advice
Without ever thinking twice
The hurt still hovered
Then one time she spent the night
To her, it all felt so right
But it meant nothing
Her feelings, they would always grow
And he could never know
\'Till she meant something
Then one day he found his dream
And it wasn\'t her, it seemed
She held back tears as he flaunted
Her heart bled knowing it was forever broken
And only she could ever truly love him
The way he wanted
So many months went by
Every night she tried
The pain would stay
He cried on her shoulder when
His dream chose to only be friends
That special day
He looked into her eyes then
And he started asking when
He would find true love
She shed a single tear
And she thought \"I am right here\"
Praying to heaven above
She walked him to the door
When he wasnt upset anymore
She hugged him, arms around his hips
And as he turned and walked away
She put her hand up to her face
And blew to him a kiss
They shared many nights discussing dreams
Telling eachother of fantasies
It made her love him more
She held on to the simple dream
That the one for her was he
Though he chose to ignore
Months gone by seemed like forever
They still couldn\'t be together
Now she was trying for him
She tried so hard to make him see
That they could always be happy
Though she couldn\'t win
Then one dark awful night
They got into a fight
And she finally said she loved him so
In anger, he said nothing could ever occur
He shouldn\'t mean anything but a friend to her
It was too much pain to bestow
That night she ran her bath
She would be free at last
Everything running through her head
She sat and held the knife
Right there, she took her life
The water turned red
Just before her coffin was lowered into the ground
Is when he decided to come around
The words quietly escaped his lips
\"Ive always loved you\" he said
Throwing flowers onto the casket
Then he blew to her a kiss
Sometimes instead of with our heart, we only see with our eyes
And not always through great disguise
We always tend
To not realize who has always been truly there
We don\'t completely take the time to care
Or notice silent kisses that are sent...

~Dedicated To: Anyone who has loved someone who didn\'t love them in return, or to anyone who didn\'t let the secret out~
