Won't Pass Away

by Marie   Aug 9, 2006

Don't you see that things will be this way
if we don't come out with what we need to say
so I want you to know that every single day
I try to make you fade, but you won't break away
leaving me with these unanswered questions
that have grown so unclear
as you pushed me away from your evident fear
and I can't prolong to answer them for you
cause each time it's a story with another new part
that doesn't have an end or a reason to start

You've taken all sense and have left me confused
as my mind blends my thoughts so they can't be perused
with questions and doubt you never explained;
I'm so sick and tired of playing this game!
You've led me to this twisted and winding road
as I've stood still, unriddling your code.
You hid the answers from both you and I
as you were building the walls to live in your lie
And so we continue playing this game
taking turns with each other to blame;
filling with hate, till it all overflows
and creating more distance till there's nowhere to go

We think we're right in our own imperfections
when we're only looking towards our own direction
Can't you see that with us, there's no cause and effect
because me and you don't know how to connect
I know our reactions to each other contrast
Yet these are the differences we need to look past
We can fix these problems and make things correct
It could be so much easier, once things are direct
I'll do what I do and I'll wait for the day
cause what me and you have, won't ever pass away.
