Between You and Me

by Twisted Heart   Sep 8, 2006

Sometimes, It's just pure magic
The way you understand
My hesitation to let go
And give love a second chance.

Sometimes, It's hard for me to see
In you, there is some hope
That faith would lend a helping hand
And it's worth more than gold.

You haven't ask me for more time
You just stay here and wait
You give yourself, so willingly
Never one to hesitate.

Sometimes, I just don't get it
Most others would have gone
Because they were to busy
To be a shoulder to cry upon.

But not you, Here you stand
Even when I lose my way
You take me in your loving arms
And here is where you stay.

Are you looking for redemption
If you're the one who sets me free
From all the bitter loneliness
That dwells inside of me.

Does it bring you satisfaction
When I look to you for care
Do you think of what is happening
When all you do is share.

Your arms are wide you tell me
In your heart there's lots of room
Just trust in you, you're saying
You'll be the one that I run to.

When I can see the sunrise
In the smile upon your lips
And feel the sweet seduction
Of your kiss of tenderness

When your words bring comfort
And love so faithfully
Will I finally realize
That we were meant to be.

If you're looking for those answers
In me, you hope to find
Well, rest assured, it's happened
At least, here in my mind.
