Old ghost tree

by michelle   Oct 3, 2006

Looking around
at the ground
at the sky
even listening to the sound
its like a storm
but then theres that tree
with the branches going in every direction
its like an old woman or man
with no hair and with bones so brittle
its like theres nothing that will hold them together
and in this storm
i must wonder how its fighting this fierce wind
and how on earth is it still standing
with its branches so very brittle
its bark so very old
then again how does it keep warm
when all its leaves have been stripped off the twigs
but you see
at this tree
you and i first met
and if theres one rule
its were love is bound
no storm happens
where love is found
