Just a brother

by michelle   Mar 25, 2007

He came to me
Real advice I could now see
friends shoulder he promised
Brother forever, the greatest

Courage he shared,
Told me he cared,
Smiles newly restored.
Never was I ignored,
Just around the bend,
Like a true friend,
I thought I would never meet.
he lifts my feet,
When I forget how to fly.
Time goes by
Ignorant annoyances gather,
a room filled with laughter
Tension is shared,
As harsh words are dared.
And now how can it be?
he stands there beside me,
We fight a war together
And then he turns into my lover.

Days go by
Not one single lie
More than a brother
and there is no another
unwanted risks i am about to take
risks full of my mistake
never letting him have his turn
and now i have a lesson to learn

Days to calm down I took
I gave him not one look
But then something strangely new
Forgiving speeches newly come from him
Not a brother
Like you promised forever

Years go by
Not one single lie
Our friendship finally restored
Our hearts ignored.
And now this said by another
"he was never just a brother"
