Awww Chelz, my heart goes out to you. Christmas has always been a special time for me and I can understand how you feel. It hurts when those you love can't be there to share the joy and hear the laughter, see the happiness, but I'm sure they feel the love and are there in spirit with you. I love you girl, this is a beautifully sad piece written from a beautiful, loving and caring heart.

Christmas is hard when certain seats are empty but focus on the good points of the day
I'm sure they miss you just as much all year, not just christmas.

i feel for you, because my family are always around at christmas, but this year, my younger sister is going away to her boyfriends and I will miss having her around at such a special time.

This is so beautiful and sad! I have someone I miss so much every holiday and would give anything to see him again. Your words have so much truth in them. We should always let the ones we love know we care, for one day they might not be there! excellent job!

But since they can’t be here for reasons I accept
They are there in the dreams I’ve dreamt the hours that I’ve slept
And each year I hang their stockings above the roaring fire
Put their pictures out by the tree and for a moment just admire

These lines so made me cry as I, too, thought of the ones who weren't here to share Christmas with me.

The rhythmn of the poem was a bit scaattered, but the sentiment more than made up for it.
