To be honest, lately i thought all this praise you were recieving was due to your ability to mesmerize people with big words and cool sounding sentences. Yet, after reading this, I must say, I am beginning to become a believer in your writing talent.

    1) I'm envious in your writing style (just saw that 140 year old corpse in sexual explicit poses)..where was I..Oh yes, the writing style. I attempt to give my stuff some sort of flow and throw an overkill of rhyming in there and that constitutes poetry in my book.Your writing sounds so mature and even professional. this poem specifically has this really awesome epic feel to it. so cool and slick sounding the entire thing.

    2) for the most part, i have no idea what is going. I spot the obvious idealization of an over-industrialized, over-modernized world. Oh and the imagery of this place, the gritty, grungy colors and nature being dissolved into this polluted urbanized technology ridden landscape is so cool (yeah, you said it a lot better). this girl underneath the glass though, you're going to have to fill me in AND tell me what inspired this via MSN. because i'm also lost on how the title fits in.

and lastly, this was very refreshing to read, not sure if its safe to say...that this poem was coming out of your comfort zone. I remember you showed me something you were writing for class that was awesome and different than your usual melodic song style relationship poems, so actually I do know you can write really cool image-intesive stuff like this. ahhh im ranting..anyways continue try new things, and that shtty horoscope thing might actually come true, I'm really impressed with your stuff laura and this ain't coming from your average clownfish that frequents this website...I got good taste. hehehe

Hmm. I expected something totally different when I read the title, but wow did this ever take my breath away. You have a great talent, and this is just your first poem that I have read, but I plan on reading more. =)
