Valentine's Day - a year later

by BrokenMemoriex   Feb 14, 2007

Before you know it
A year has passed
How has it gone
So swiftly, so fast?

So swiftly, so fast
I wonder what could have been
Now where's our past?
It can't be seen

It can't be seen
Never again to be found
I love this day
I'm finally unbound

I'm finally unbound
From the clutches of pain
I've now the freedom
To love again

To love again
How simple how sweet
I'll find him one day
My true love to keep

My true love to keep
Of candles and wines
From my heart deep
Happy, happy Valentine's

*This was written a year after last year's Valentine's Day poem. Also, do read last year's V Day poem, entitled "Happy Solo Valentine's". (:

My valetnines day was pretty much the same but i liked how you took the last line of each stanza and used it as the first one in the next nice creativity! 5/5 *kaila*
