Another Lonely Night

The memories are all I have of time we spent as one.
I will never turn back time, the swords and shields are hung.
All the past is set in stone, Engraved; I'm full aware
the past was just a dream at which I must forever stare.

Your face is gone, but still I see you walking by my side.
All I have are memories; They'll have to get me by.
And as I see the precious moments that I sat and watched fly by
I cry a tear in misery, aware they only come one time.

Those words I'd like to interchange, the photo's I would take...
Just so I'd have a stronger heart -- A better Memory;
But you begin to slip away, I know I lack the strength
to live a life that's void of you, when I live for your face.

I'm sure that I will break apart. Goodbyes, they pain me so.
I dread saying goodbye when I'm not ready to let go....
And as our hands begin to part, I try to hold on tight...
