It's going to take a little more time
For this soul inside to feel
My hearts been broke
By words you spoke
No chance for it to heal

It's going to take a little more time
Before I get back on my feet
The nights are long
The pain so strong
Tears dried upon my sheets

It's going to take a little more time
Your touch I still recall
A gentle kiss
From your sweet lips
Now nothing is there at all.

It's going to take a little more time
Your memory inside me quakes
From times that's past
They're gone so fast
Shards left here from the break.

It's going to take a little more time
Before I'm finally over you
You cast a spell
Now I'm in hell
For the pain you put me through.

It's going to take a little more time
But I know that come the day
I'll be much more
Than I was before
I'll wonder why I stayed.

    Excellent piece. The pain and lonleiness can be felt in everyword you penned.

    This stanz I can relate to. Even though our loses are diffrent we still share so many of the same feelings.

    Nice poem there. especially liked best the first 2 paragraphs. and also liked the recurring it's gonna take some time... i know the feeling. some ppl are within our hearts for a long time or forever no matter what happened... 4/5
