The angel that comes in the dead of night.

by ~* gifted little fallen~*   Aug 10, 2007

The angel comes in a vision of white

in the serenity of ebony night.

She calls to me with a voice so sweet...

The smell of spring blossoms fill my sense's,

as the graceful hand for me so reaches.

I am confused by why she has chosen me.

she only said it was because of my heart to see.

I still wonder why when it is still bleeding ,

torn by the roads that love has been granted to me.

All she does is touch my breast where my heart so painfully beats,

and then suddenly the emptiness is gone,

And instead of the pain it is filled with a ray of light.

She smiles, and whispers into the night,

see.. even a broken heart can be mended.

Then as quick as she was there, she is gone.

And I know it will be a better day.

I sigh with contempt as the new dawn approches.

For it is her that i see when I dream.

The dark angel who saved me, and i don't even think she knows it.

Wow, this poem was fantastic. I loved the emotion in it and it was really interesting. Very unique!!
But I did notice that there were some parts that rhymed and most that didn't, it was still great, quite a surprise to see the rhyme; although I thought it kind of distracted me from what you were trying to say. But still, the emotion still showed, you were fantastic, great job!!
