The Accident

by Krista   Aug 22, 2007

A simple rainy day.
The rain drizzles silently
down my window.
Silent screams have not been heard.
A car pulls up.
I run outside.
The car door slams.
A party of friends
and family await me.
The rain runs along
the black road.
A silent scream is thrown
into the noise of the world.
The car twists and turns
along the blackend road.
The glass lays silent
among the deathly shadows.
Bodies lay twisted
among the mangled metal.
Sirens sound around the scene.
Screams and yells are heard
in the dead of the night.
I look to my side.
I'm still alive.
My friend dead.
The bright lights blind
my weary, scared eyes.
The doctors can help me
but my friend is gone
She cannot be revived
Renewed
or brought back.
The hospital is very bright
Full of smiling faces
and faces of tears.
