A Golden Prpmise

by Beauty Within These Pages of Darkness   Aug 27, 2007

Really don't how to say this,
But we'll both have to part,
Even though it will,
Break both our fragile hearts,

I can't even explain,
Why I have to do this,
Because next week,
I'll have to give you your final kiss,

I wanted to marry you,
I wanted you to be my wife,
But due to uncontrolled circumstances,
I have to cast you out of my life,

This is something,
I wish I didn't have to do,
Why do I have to tell you?
That we are through,

I will tell you this now,
Even though we have to part,
You will always remain,
My golden sweetheart,

So as I give you,
My last loving embrace,
And as I gently kiss,
Your pretty face,

Just know that,
I'll always love you,
Leaving you behind,
Will leave me feeling ever so blue,

I know that one-day,
I will make my return,
But until that magical day,
My heart will perpetually burn,

It will burn with a distinctive passion,
A passion for your love,
Just as in Christmas,
The tale of the two white doves,

I'll now say my,
Last ever goodbye,
But please promise me,
That you won't cry,

So as I give you,
Your final kiss,
Just remember that one day I will come back,
That's my golden promise,
