Fire

Its a light within
dim to start
until It sparks a fire
inside the heart

It can be seen
behind the eyes
It cant be hidden
although It tries

It takes the mind
and consumes the soul
until its impossible
to ignore Its pull

The fire grows
from a single match
until Its enough
for another heart to catch

In the beginning
Its a feeling serene
but then Its out of control
when you add the kerosene

The once tame flames
explode and choke
when everything
goes up in smoke
