Fingertip Dreams

by Laura Lamarca   Oct 13, 2007

Love always somehow beyond reach,
cold fingers stretched to nothingness;
once lonely soul it couldn't bless
and a torn heart it couldn't teach.

Life taught strife
it often brought,
paved pain in painted
lines & tainted words
remained unheard in
dishonesty divine.

Whence hope brought love, to me caress
and silence lost returned to speech,
bright future shone, to call - beseech
in essence gain freedom, possess.

Unity taught new
shades of light
from faded past
of pain's despair
& nightmares dissolved
to dreams' delight.

cuando las puntas de los dedos tocan suavemente su cara
para banarse en la belleza de su abrazo.
