Rough Days

by Len Jo   Oct 16, 2007

Rough days await me
Bait me by pretending they would be good
As the hood calls out again I reply
And why
Because life gets rough
Days remain cold
People pretend to be tough
So now I eat my Wheaties to prepare
To fair the shaky day
I sway and it persist
I yell stop and it charges
Barges down the door and exposes me
Declothe me as if I am a scarlet
The more I fight, the more ground it gains
How do I defeat this warrior
Become submissive and learn its techniques
Gain its knowledge and wisdom
Yes, and in turn use it against the world
