Persistence Rewarded

I have waited so long
for something so simple
yet so unattainable
I stretched far enough
Wanted it bad enough
Kept faith
Belief in my abilities
I could feel it on the tips of my fingers

Just out of reach
The confidence I needed came through love
giving me that extra length
the self esteem boost
My fingers clasped around it
Gripping tight

Proving I'm worthy everyday
